Avon Moot is Noods Radios folk festival Celebrating May Day a perennial festival at the beginning of summer, halfway between the spring equinox and summer solstice with pagan roots stretching across Europe. Dougal joins Anea on her show to explore the customs and songs of the ritual calendar. sharing thoughts on lore and unearthing musical gems they take listeners on a journey through the seasons.

It is a time of fertility and natural abundance; a marriage of sun and earth. This is an ancient fire festival celebrated by the Celts and is also referred to as Beltane.
